We take our time to build connections in the world of coffee, understand the importance of provenance, Fairtrade and Organic certification and to discover what a Peabodys coffee should taste like.
Puro has been our coffee of choice at Peabodys for 7 years for the simple reason that it combines being 100% Fairtrade with an alliance to the World Land Trust and tastes superb.
Silky smooth latte, short punchy espresso, frothy warming cappuccino, iced frappé, and everything in between. We do it all – and with a wide range of dairy and non-dairy milk alternatives.
ORGANIC HOUSE COFFEE
Our organic, Fairtrade coffee is a light roasted blend from Peru and Honduras, 100% arabica, with a distinctive flavour. It combines soft notes of chocolate, with citric overtones giving it fruitiness and a natural sweetness.
We use only the finest La Cimbali espresso machines, imported from Italy and regularly fine-tuned by world class, award-winning coffee experts.
You can expect nothing less than top notch traditional espresso from Peabodys – there’s no ‘push and go’ coffee here! A Peabodys barista is given top quality training from day one, via a training program designed and delivered by a coffee consultant who also acts as a judge for the UK Barista Championships (as well as holding a certificate in coffee chemistry!) As our baristas’ passion for coffee grows, so does their training, and they are offered advanced barista skills training. In a nutshell, they’re good.
ORGANIC SPECIALITY HAND BREWED COFFEE
Our single origin speciality coffees are hand roasted in small batches and may change seasonally. We prepare these by a method called ‘hand brewing’, otherwise known as ‘pour over’. The perfect ratio of hot water to freshly ground coffee is combined via a simple method of hand pouring hot water over coffee nestled in a filter, allowing the heat to ‘bloom’ the coffee, releasing delicate flavours, while gravity works to pull the liquid into a receptacle below. This method gives the barista full control of the coffee making process and allows the finer flavours of our single origin, small batch coffees, to shine through.
